Woman Tased After Entering Arlington Police Station With Knives

ARLINGTON, TX (CBSDFW.COM) —A woman was tased Tuesday after entering an Arlington police headquarters holding two knives above her head in an “aggressive manner” according to a news release from the Arlington Police Department.

Officials said the women identified as Patricia Sayan, 28 of age of Arlington, allegedly entered the building at about 9:15pm holding the two knives. The front desk officer was the only officer in the lobby area and immediately began giving commands to Sayan to drop the knives.

In surveillance video released by the Arlington Police Department, police said Sayan can be seen “making thrusting motions towards the officer with the knives.”

The front desk officer called for immediate assistance then waited for backup to arrive.

Another officer was able to get into position to deploy his taser and safely take Sayan into custody.

No one was injured during the incident and Sayan remains in the Arlington Jail charged with one count of Terroristic Threats.
