NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — All Brooklyn-bound lanes of the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel were closed Monday night due to a car on fire.

The Brooklyn-bound side of the tunnel, formerly known as the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, were closed as of just before 9 p.m.

The New York City Office of Emergency Management advised motorists to find other routes.

Information about the car fire was not immediately available.
