Lolo Jones: ‘The only ‘race’ I will ever claim is the 100m hurdle race’

Lolo Jones can’t catch a break.

TheGrio’s interview with Taye Diggs on his son’s biracial identity from last week became a trending topic on Twitter Wednesday. The olympian, whose mother is white and father is black, shared support for Diggs’ comments that his son should be able to choose how he identifies when he gets older.

Jones began sharing some of her own personal journey as a biracial woman on Twitter.

Well in true dragging fashion Black Twitter was having none of that. Several users called Jones out for not understanding the what it means to ‘accept’ her blackness.

But Jones was unbothered and clapped back at her haters the only way she knew how.
