Police searching for teen and five-year-old that may be lost in South Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. –Richmond Police is asking for the public’s help to locate two people who may be lost in South Richmond.

Police said about three hours ago, a 16-year-old Honduran male and his five-year-old cousin disappeared while visiting relatives in the city’s south side.

Family members tell officers the two were sitting in a vehicle in front of the family’s residence in the 6400 block of Erhart Road listening to music when the teenager apparently drove off with the younger child still in the car.

There is no reason at this time to believe they are in danger, but the teen does not speak English and is unfamiliar with Richmond.

They were last seen in a black, four-door, 2007 Pontiac G-6.

Anyone who may spot a vehicle matching this description is asked to call the RPD’s non-emergency number at 804 646-5100.
